visit www.skype.com . Its amazing! You can call a computer (using mic & speakers) and chat live or tect message for FREE. You can also call ordinary phones worldwide really cheaply too using skypeout.
I use this every day now. If you live in the USA all calls to ordinary phones AND cells is FREE until Xmas Give it a try My skype name is "deojays" feel free to practice on me  Erica |

Yes I couldn't agree more Skype is excellent, a bit temperamental at times but overall very good.

The only problem with Skype is that if the country you live in block it - they do that all the time in Abu Dhabi - they don't send you an update on how to get around that through somewhere else like NetTelePhone do.

A friend of mine recommended this to me a while back, but I never got round to downloading it. If it's really as good as you say I may give it a go

They both, of course also have a webcam option so you can actually see the person you are talking to. Not though a good idea to use the webcam when the connection speed is slow. |

We Skype friends around the world, most times we can use the webcam. It makes a difference when you can see the person you are talking to. You can take still pics of whatever is on screen, with just a click of the mouse. One day Skype will have a video capture ability. When we chat to daughter in LA, with 8 month old grandson, we capture his antics on screen with a video camera. Picture quality is pretty good. On On with Skype....
